The United Nations in New York, St. Vincent and the Grenadines is the latest country to join the long list of nations which support the formation of an independent Palestinian state along 1967 borders, with the city of Al-Quds as its capital.

According to the Palestinian diplomatic mission at the United Nations, with the addition of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, there are currently 126 nations which officially recognize Palestine as an independent state, and support Palestine’s membership of the United Nations.

On 20th September, the Palestinian self-rule Authority will propose a resolution for the United Nations to recognize Palestine as an independent country, and as a new member of the United Nations.
