Man charged with terrorism offences following arrest in East London

A 23-year-old man arrested at a residential address in East London on Wednesday, 21 October by officers from the MPS Counter Terrorism Command [SO15] has been charged with terrorism offences. 


Mohammed Mohsin Ameen, 23 of east London has on Tuesday 27 October, been charged with six counts of directly or indirectly encouraging others to commit, prepare or instigate acts of terrorism or convention offences contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006 and one count of inviting support for a proscribed organisation, namely the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) contrary to section 12(1) and (6) of the Terrorism Act 2000.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court Wednesday 28 October.
