UAE signs $1.3m deal to host Pakistan cricket series

The UAE will host the next two Pakistan cricket series against South Africa and Sri Lanka under a $1.3m deal, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed.

The south Asian nation has been forced to play its home games abroad in recent years, including against England in 2012, because its opponents have refused to send their players to the troubled nation.

It has reportedly sold the title and ground rights for the upcoming tests for almost $1.3m.

The PCB also will soon issue tenders for the UAE games’ broadcasting rights after its long-term broadcasting deal with the Dubai-based Ten Sports ended this year.
